Photography
At Weave, we have a spectrum of photography that can be used depending upon the need, from portrait to lifestyle to product. The following pages will direct you on how to use each kind.
Portrait
We photograph people isolated on a white background. People should be well lit and very natural looking, with normal expressions. They can be smiling or serious, just nothing zany or silly. They can be looking into camera or off camera, whatever feels most natural and “in the moment”. Portrait photos are then placed into a mask of an organic-shaped circle. There are a few organic circles to choose from.
Content
Photos should include small businesses, owners and people primarily in service-based businesses or healthcare practices that would normally and naturally use Weave. Small business owners are our heroes, so photos should express the entrepreneurial spirit of working toward a dream. Wherever possible, we should try to show or emphasize the interactions between businesses and their customers.
Style
Photos should feel very natural and bright, using natural light as much as possible. People should not appear too posed or stiff, but should feel very candid and editorial in style, like we’re capturing people in action as they naturally do what they do. Photos should feel happy and bright and friendly, but never zany or wacky.
